Dahab, Egypt

Spent the past 4 days in the Sinai Peninsula in the town of Dahab, Egypt, on the Gulf of Aqaba. The gulf is one arm of the Red Sea that lies between Egypt, Jordan, Isreal, and Saudi Arabia. The water here is an amazing blue green tint. Not many waves. Lots of snorkling everyday, you just pick a spot in town and go, and Monday we climbed up the famed Mount Sinai (7,497 ft) nearby. It felt like hiking in Utah. The tourism circuit here in Dahab is more relaxed than in the mainland. Lots of Eurpoeans come here for a quick winter holiday. Tomorrow we fly back to Cairo to visit Heather, a friend who is teaching for a couple years there. I will write more and include pictures when we return. Yalla!
