Vina Del Mar 02.11.2009











Took the Metro to Vina Del Mar on Wednesday. Vina Del Mar contains the vacation beach of the Valparaiso area, whereas Valparaiso is the harbor/container shipping/finanical hub city. High rise hotels and condominiums. It certainly looked like a lot of Chileans had travelled there to get some sun. The water was refreshingly cold, much like every other Pacific Ocean experience I´ve ever had. More empanadas were consumed. In the evening a hole-in-the wall resturant was referred to us. This place was named Antiano. The chef there offered us chilean beef stew with sopapillas, tomatoes, lettuce, along with potatoes and squash.
